Have you guys heard of Kollabora yet? If not I highly recommend you check it out.
I'm sure most of you are familiar with BurdaStyle as a way to post and share your garments with the sewing community. Well Kollabora was started by some BurdaStyle alums as an alternative, a far better one in my opinon. The layout of the site is very user friendly, with far less visual muck to sort through. Although the community is kind of small right now, the interactions I'm having already are great! I mainly focus on the sewing aspects of the site, but there's a category for every craft you can think of. From Home Decor to Jewelry Making. The site is also completely socially integrated with twitter, pinterest, and facebook. It's another good way to keep track of sewing bloggers your're following once google reader bites the dust.
One of the features I really like is that you can easily and quickly directly link the materials used in your project, so no one has to ask you where you got x.
I can already tell this site will be around for the long run, and am excited to be part of the baby steps it's taking right now. I'd love to befriend some fellow crafty blog readers on Kollabora.
If you do end up making a profile, please follow me here! I'd love to see what you guys are making as well!
