Completed: The Round Trip Jacket

I've actually had this bad boy finished for a couple of weeks, with all intent to get photos of myself wearing it. But I obviously didn't get to it. I can add a big checkmark next to my first piece of the capsule collection!

I do like how this sewed up, but next time I make it, I'd leave the facings off an use bias tape. They have a tendancy to flip forward, which is annoying. I've tacked it down, but it doesn't seem to help much. Maybe I'll add a lining instead. I'd also size down if I made it next time- just a personal preference on how my cropped jackets fit.

I've currently got the Colfax dress by True Bias cut out. I'm hoping to sew it up tonight. I toiled it last weekend and it fit pretty decently. I added a bit more ease on the hips and lenthened it. (True Bias patterns are drafted for a 5'5" person, and I'm 5'8") It seems like it'll be a quick sew, and I'm excited to wear it! Maybe I'll sneak the round trip jacket into the finished pictures. ;)

What are you working on?
